Online Court Tips for Clients

Due to major courthouse changes caused by the 2020 global pandemic, you may find yourself appearing before a judge electronically by remote video. This trend has some benefits (safety & convenience), but it also is so new, people are making errors in how they get online, appear before the court, and prosecute their case. There is little room for errors when appearing before a judge, whether it’s for a minor hearing or a major trial. The tips in this video may be useful when you’re set to go online before the court. Natalia and I appear before our respective courts online almost every week now, sometimes by Zoom and sometimes by Microsoft Teams. And we’ve seen the good, bad, and ugly, from clients, attorneys, and judges. Prepare for your next online hearing so you’re actually prepared to present your case.
